St. Peter & Paul Church in Ormoc City could be one of the oldest church in western Leyte if it was not reduced to rubble during the Spanish era. Erected as a parish in 1850, when it was declared by the Governor General separating Ormoc from its mother parish in Palompon. Now only a portion of the wall of the church remains the remnant of the old church here.
