PALOMPON, Leyte -- Four homosexuals including two minors were caught for the burglary that occurred at Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) last June 19. A composite team led by Insp. Alfred Reynald M. Dauz conducted the arrest of the suspected robbers.

The suspects were identified as Geronimo Ramirez, 18 of Brgy. Cantandoy; Genesis Abecia, 18 of Brgy. Guiwan I; and Jovice Rebise and Roderic Suarez, both 17 and residing at Toril here. They were implicated in the ransacking of the administrative offices and cyber library of PIT. The suspects carted off with a truckload of computers, printers and accessories which they piled inside the dilapidated comfort room of the nearby athletic field. It is not only PIT which the group victimized but other establishments as well like Sara Lee, CKL Pawnshop and the rented apartment of the Mormon church.

The police chanced upon the group when they saw Rebise in possession of a digital camera that was stolen from CKL Pawnshop in San Isidro, a kilometer from the poblacion. Rebise pointed to his companions upon interrogation. Other cops who took part in the arrest were SPO1 Cesar Merino, PO1 Rogelio Rojas Jr., SPO2 Rolando Mahusay, and SPO1 Roger Subere, SPO2 Joel Clitar.
